5 prompts to make your charts more impactful

“Annual CO₂ emissions by ASEAN member state” describes what the chart shows, but not what the audience should take away from it. An insight-driven title gives people a clear focus before they look at the data. It’s one of the easiest ways to make your chart stronger without changing the data itself.

Make the key insight immediately clear through title, and rewrite the subtitle to support that finding with more detail.

Every line in the starting chart currently competes for attention equally, making it hard to see the story. Indonesia's dramatic surge to the top is the standout finding – giving it a strong distinct color while fading the other ten countries to grey makes that story immediately legible without removing any data.
